Professor Dr.Carmo D’Souza, a former law college lecturer and author of several books, passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.
“Carmo D’Souza was a dedicated teacher, and he never aspired for any position, power, fame or money. He took keen interest in research and took great pleasure in guiding the students, especially in research,” said former principal of V M Salgaocar law college, Miramar, Marian Pinheiro in a social media post.
A native of Calangute, D’Souza was a PhD guide on law. His areas of specialisation were comparative constitutional law, jurisprudence, family laws of India and private international laws.
